A Commercial Pilot´s License (CPL) is issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (www.dgca.gov.in) after fulfilling the conditions for issue of this license under the Aircraft Rules of 1937. Where students need to complete a minimum of 200 hrs of flight training under DGCA guidelines which can be completed as minimum as 7 months to a maximum of up to 24 months ( depends on student and FTO i,e flight training organization)

The course requirements for the issue of a CPL are as follows
Aspiring Pilots have to Pass ( 70%) in the following Theory Subjects in order to obtain Indian Commercial Pilot License.

Air Navigation – consist of charts, instruments, and navigation aids; an understanding of the navigation systems; operation of airborne equipment; practical aspects of air navigation and dead reckoning techniques; use of radio navigation aids; accuracy and reliability of navigation systems used in departure en route, approach and landing phases of flight; identification of radio navigation.
Meteorology – consist of the climatology of relevant areas in respect of the elements having an effect upon aviation; the movement of pressure systems, the structure of fronts, and the origin and characteristics of significant weather phenomenon which affect take-off, en-route, and landing conditions; hazardous weather avoidance;
AIR Regulations – consist of a study of Aircraft Rules, 1937, AIRCRAFT act 1934 rules of the air; appropriate air traffic services practices and procedures to operate the aircraft.
Technical – is understanding of aircraft technical systems hydraulics, jet engine, piston engine, etc. with aircraft operate.
Radio Telephony – is the study of safe and effective radio communication between pilot and ATC controller.

Your medical fitness in terms of conditions that may prevent you from taking up professional flying is critical as you will be investing a lot of time, effort and money in qualifying as a pilot. Your Class II medical will be conducted with a DGCA qualified specialist, and will be the first indication of whether you are fit to fly.
This assessment will determine your aptitude and suitability to become an airline pilot. You will be assessed on competencies that you will require during your training and your career as a pilot. These competencies may be developed and enhanced through practice and this assessment will enable us to focus on areas of development. The objective is to make you aware of your strengths and weaknesses and how you may overcome them.
Once you have reached Step 3 and decided to train with us, you will be offered to join according to availability as per our course commencement dates. Your position on that course will be blocked once you have confirmed your position and deposited your first instalment.
The course material will include books/ iPad, flight computer, and other important equipment you will require during your training. You will also be issued uniforms that are expected to be always well maintained and elegantly worn.
This will be three months of intense training and will comprise of 360 hours of instruction at the end of which you will acquire the knowledge to pass your CPL exams with the capability and understanding to practically apply that knowledge in your career as an aviator. This will be integrated with your classroom training and will enable you to visualize the application of your knowledge for a complete understanding of the subject. During ground school, you will also learn about complex airplane systems and human factors that will influence your performance as a pilot.
Pilots academy offers you 5 places for your flight training such as India, USA, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand. All the locations have good and favourable weather conditions with good quality of aircrafts and proper maintenance facility. On top of it, very helpful instructors are always there to support you throughout your flying training. The focus of your training will be on the development of standard operation procedures, skills development, instrument flying, upset recovery training and cross countries. You will also get training for instrument flying on flight simulator. The single engine training will be followed by multi-engine training on both the simulator and the aircraft where you will learn multi-crew operations along with complex airplane training and asymmetric handling. Your training will culminate with your skills test on the single-engine and multi-engine aircraft and on the basis of which your license will be issued.
Once you are done with your flying training, now it’s the time for the issuance of your DGCA commercial pilot license. Now if you have done your flying from India flying school will get all the formalities done and get your CPL issued, but if have done your flying from abroad which is USA, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand you have to undergo 8 hours of flying test and after that your CPL license is issued along with your Indian FRTOL and RTR permit.
